Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has sent a message of greetings to His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI on the 4th Anniversary of His Papacy of His Pontificate on 24th April, 2009

In his message, the Prime Minister said. “On behalf of the government and people of Pakistan and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to extend to Your Holiness cordial and sincerer felicitations on the fourth anniversary of Your Holiness ‘Papacy.

“We appreciate Your Holiness’ message on ‘Fighting Poverty to Build Peace’ in the World, especially since poverty often leads to ill health, illiteracy, intolerance and injustice. We are thankful for Your Holiness’ contribution to eradicating poverty and serving the poor in Pakistan through hospitals, schools and charitable organizations. These endeavors provide hope and sustenance to thousands.

“I take this opportunity to convey my best wishes for Holiness’ long life and good health.

“Please accept, Your Holiness, the assurances of my highest consideration.”
